Friday Finds & Feels #22
A weekly collection of discoveries, musings, and moments that have sparked something in me this week. May these small moments of joy, inspiration and thoughts light up your weekend
This Week's Joy: This week’s joy is celebrating the birthday of one of my dearest friends. There’s something so beautiful about friendships that stand the test of time - the ones that grow with you, hold space for you, and show up through every season of life. 25 years later and we are still here laughing, crying, and supporting each other through the ups and downs of life. I’m forever grateful for the fact that you see me, understand me, and love me unconditionally and I hope you have the best birthday!
Something to Ponder:
What I'm Exploring: Lately, I’ve been starting my mornings a little differently. Before I reach for my phone or dive into the noise of the day, I pull a card from a deck I made just for myself - a deck filled with gentle affirmations, reflective journal prompts, and tiny actions to ground me. It’s simple. It takes maybe five minutes. And still, it’s creating powerful ripples in my life. I feel more anchored. More connected. Like I’m choosing how I want to move through the day, rather than being swept away by it. There’s something powerful about having a quiet intention to carry with you. Something that says, “This day is yours. And you get to decide how it feels.” This little practice has been such a gift to me… and I’ve been thinking about how much I want to share it with you. Starting soon, I’ll be bringing this practice to Substack, inside a private chat space just for my paid subscribers.
Each morning, I’ll post:
✨ A heartfelt affirmation
🖊️ A reflective journal prompt
🌿 A tiny action you can take to create meaningful shifts in your life
If you’ve been wanting to make your mornings feel more intentional, and you’re ready to create a life that feels deeply yours, this is your invitation to join me.
For just $7 a month, you’ll get access to this daily practice - and your financial support allows me to continue showing up here and creating offerings that (hopefully!) make you feel seen, supported, and inspired. Your subscription helps fund the writing, creating, and community-building I pour my heart into every day. I’m beyond grateful for you. 💛
A Little Treat: I finally got around to creating a lovely little video summarizing the pilgrimage I did in September on the Camino de Santiago. It only requires 5 minutes of your time and hopefully will leave you feeling inspired in your own life and on your own journey. While you’re there, a simple like on the video goes such a long way!
In My Journal: Today, a Facebook memory popped up - a photo of me and Dad. We were standing there together, and I had captioned it, “Onto the next great adventure.”
At the time, I was heading off in my van, ready to explore, after spending three precious months with him. Nearly three years have passed since I lost him. Some days, the grief feels softer. Other days, it feels impossible that my world can go on without him in it. It’s hard not to be able to share where I have been, what I have done, how life has changed since he’s been gone. I think he’d be proud of where I’ve gone, of how I’ve kept moving, even when it was hard. But today, this memory…it brought me comfort. Maybe he really is just off on his next great adventure.
